Hi Scott
I hope I have the correct person. If so, you may remember me from more than 20 years ago when you were at Glasgow University. I encouraged you and the UF to get together but unfortunately that didn’t work out.
I know you are working on the history of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in your research and I have been doing my own research that has touched on the Cumberlands. I am looking into Alexander Campbell and recently got through a Viva but they want me to strengthen my comments about Amyraldianism. It is my suspicion that there was a lot of Amyraldianism in Ulster that then went to America and the Ulster Scots (Log College preachers) were influential in the founding of the Cumberlands so I wonder have you ever come across much evidence of Amyraldianism in the early Cumberland Presbyterian theology.
I am now living in Co. Donegal, Ireland and I am a minister with PCI, married to Jennifer with three children. I get Barry Anderson’s correspondence through which I listened to you once discussing your experiences of Glasgow University on the radio. If you can help with this enquiry, I would really appreciate it.
Best wishes, Craig
